The company was founded by Arnold Wall in 1998 with the intent to buy, renovate, sell and lease real estate in the Atlanta Area with a focus on intown residential properties.  Over the past 10 years, GCP has been involved in dozens of properties.  Recently, Arnold joined forces with his sons, Mike and Chris to take advantage of the current real estate market conditions.  The revamped team is purchasing bank owned properties for renovation and sale to owner occupants.

Today’s typical projects range from a standard renovation to a teardown and complete rebuild.  Budgets vary with the degree of work involved.  Currently we focus on homes in the East Atlanta Village and surrounding neighborhoods; Edgewood, Kirkwood, East Lake and Oakhurst.  Construction schedules are from 30-120 days, with remodeling completed quickly and efficiently to minimize holding time.

After completing a Bachelor of Architecture at Texas A&M in 1968 and a tour of duty as a Naval Officer from 1969-1972, Arnold has practiced architecture with various firms in Florida and Atlanta.  He spent the 1980s until 1998 as a corporate architect, project manager for office and retail developments for Equitable Life/Equitable Real Estate.  Projects included renovations, due diligence for acquisitions, and office and retail developments for institutional clients such as IBM and CALPERS.

In 1998, Arnold formed Greystone Classic Properties, Inc. to invest in residential properties in the Atlanta  area with a focus on intown neighborhoods.  GCP, Inc. has bought, renovated, sold and leased single and multifamily properties throughout the Atlanta Metro area and in Texas as principal, partner, or manager in the past decade.

Mike Wall, Acquisitions and Construction Management

Mike is responsible for the acquisition and construction on new properties for GCP.  He has 8 years experience as the Acquisitions Executive responsible for identifying and purchasing over 500 properties for Atlanta Investing.  Over the past 4 years, he added the title of Construction Manager and completed over 100 renovations.  Budgets and schedules varied with the scope of work.  The scope has included minimum cosmetic repairs to complete teardown and rebuilds.  He focuses on quick turnaround with high quality craftsmanship and budget control.

Patrick Keating, Construction Manager

As Construction Manager, Patrick has over 10 years direct experience in the home construction business.  He began his career at the age of 18 in upstate New York.  After his relocation to Atlanta in 2001, he served as Construction Superintendent for Innovative Construction and McCarr Homes prior to joining Atlanta Investing in 2007 and joined Greystone Classice Properties in 2009.  He is responsible for developing budgets and schedules, and execution of the work, ensuring that quality, schedule and budget standards are maintained.

Chris Wall, Business development manager

For GCP, Chris is responsible for raising funding for new projects, marketing and business development.  As CEO of Atlanta Investing for 8 years, Chris was directly involved in the development of the leading real estate wholesaling firm in Atlanta which bought and sold over 500 properties since its establishment in 2002. Prior to forming Atlanta Investing, he worked with GCP, Inc from 2000-2002 following completion of his B.A. in business from Oglethorpe University.  Atlanta Investing, under his leadership,  took an active role in developing ties with non-profit agencies serving first time homebuyers over the past 2 years.

Atlanta Investing was a real estate investment company that specializing in acquisition, renovation and sales of Atlanta foreclosures. Founded in 2002, Atlanta Investing focused on working with investors and enjoyed rapid sales growth as the Atlanta real estate market grew.  In 2004, the revenue was $3.8 million; two years later that number was up to $17.1 million.   AI was recognized with two business awards based on sales growth:

Inc Magazine’s 500 Fastest Growing Companies for 2006, Ranking 67^th

2006 Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Pacesetter Award for Top 50 Fastest Growing Private Companies, Ranking 26^th.

During AI’s tenure working with investors, the business started to do many of its own renovations and new builds looking for different sources of revenue. AI worked with several builders and contractors who helped them gain new insights into efficient home construction.
